DAY 1 - BASEL, SWITZERLAND – EMBARKATION

After breakfast, bid farewell to Switzerland and prepare for your return flight home. (B)

DAY 2 - BREISACH, GERMANY

Breisach is your gateway to various excursions. Visit the enchanting Alsatian town of Riquewihr, unchanged since the 16th century, and see the historic Dolder Gate. Alternatively, explore Freiburg, founded in 1120, and admire its Gothic cathedral. For an active outing, cycle through the countryside or hike in the culturally rich Black Forest.(B,L,D)

DAY 3 - STRASBOURG, FRANCE

Strasbourg is enchanting during Advent. Visit the Christkindelsmärik, France's oldest Christmas Market. Enjoy a bus tour past Parc de l’Orangerie, the European Parliament, and Place de la Republique. Walk through the historic UNESCO-listed Grande Île and “La Petite France” district to see the Cathédrale de Nôtre Dame. Alternatively, explore by bicycle. In the afternoon, visit Gengenbach Christmas Market with its 24-day Advent calendar. (B,L,D)

DAY 4 - LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY

Ludwigshafen offers three excursions. Visit Heidelberg to explore its medieval charm, iconic red sandstone castle, and the Great Vat. For a more active adventure, hike the Philosopher’s Path for panoramic views. Alternatively, visit Speyer to see Europe’s largest Romanesque cathedral and the medieval Old Gate. Or, take a guided bike tour along the Neckar River and explore the picturesque town of Ladenburg.(B,L,D)

DAY 5 - RÜDESHEIM – RHINE GORGE

Cruise through the captivating UNESCO-designated Rhine Gorge to the winemaking town of Rüdesheim. Enjoy a wine tasting, a gondola ride to the Niederwalddenkmal, or hike through vineyards. Alternatively, take a guided bike tour along the scenic Rhine. Later, visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Instrument Cabinet or savor Rüdesheimer coffee, made with brandy, coffee, and whipped cream. (B,L,D)

DAY 6 - DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY

As a cultural, commercial, and architectural hub, Düsseldorf is a must-visit on the Rhine. Choose between two excursions: Visit nearby Cologne to see the Gothic Cologne Cathedral, tour the Old Town, and enjoy the Christmas Market. DAY 7 - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS

If you missed our earlier canal cruise, join us on a specially designed boat to glide beneath bridges and alongside Amsterdam's iconic architecture. Alternatively, explore the city with a walking tour, sampling local delicacies like bitterballen and Dutch cheese. Later, set sail out of Amsterdam.(B,L,D)

DAY 8 - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS

Enjoy a tour of the world-famous Rijksmuseum, The Netherlands’ national museum. Explore 800 years of Dutch history and the world’s largest collection of Dutch and Flemish art, featuring masterpieces like Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch” and Vermeer’s “The Milkmaid.” (B,L,D)

DAY 9 - DORDRECHT, NETHERLANDS – KINDERDIJK, NETHERLANDS

Explore Dordrecht's rich history on a walking tour or visit Rotterdam and Delfshaven. Alternatively, venture to Gorinchem's Old Town or join a bike tour in Rotterdam. In the afternoon, visit Kinderdijk, renowned for its 18th-century windmills, or bike through the area.(B,L,D)

DAY 10 - ANTWERP, BELGIUM

Discover Antwerp, Belgium’s “City of Diamonds,” on a walking tour featuring Steen Castle, Grote Market, Brabo Fountain, and the UNESCO Cathedral of Our Lady. Alternatively, bike through Antwerp for active exploration. Beer enthusiasts can enjoy a tasting, while foodies can sample Belgium’s culinary delights, including fluffy waffles. DAY 13 - HELLEVOETSLUIS, NETHERLANDS

Enjoy a morning cruise through the delta before arriving in Hellevoetsluis, a medieval harbor town in South Holland. Tour the town to see its iconic De Hoop windmill and charming wharf houses. Learn about the Delta Works and visit the Flood Museum to understand their significance in preventing flood disasters like the one in 1953. For an active adventure, pedal from Hellevoetsluis across the Haringvlietdam and back. (B,L,D)

DAY 14 - AMSTERDAM – UTRECHT, NETHERLANDS

Experience Amsterdam's 165 canals on a canal cruise. Later, cruise through the IJsselmeer to Utrecht, the Netherlands' religious center since the 8th century. Explore its medieval old town, canals, and Gothic cathedral on a walking tour, including a visit to the whimsical Museum Speelklok.
