Dock at the picturesque Ionian island of Ithaca, which has remained unspoilt with clear blue seas and lush green valleys and mountains. Here, disembark for a walking tour of its charming township. In Greek mythology, the island was home to Odysseus, a legendary Greek king who was the hero of Homer's epic poem, The Odyssey. Cruise to Zakynthos, where you will be able to explore its secluded Shipwreck Beach and Blue Caves, a visual masterpiece surrounded by sparkling turquoise waters
Perhaps take a full day to explore Taormina, which includes a visit to its incredible Greek Theatre. Walk along the main street that is free of traffic as you take in the ancient noble palaces of the town. Enjoy lunch in an authentic restaurant, before returning to your ship. Alternatively, enjoy a full day to take in Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe. Visit some of Sicily's small villages, where you will stop at a local winery that has belonged to a family since ancient times. Here, enjoy a tasting and buffet lunch
Upon arrival at Amalfi pier, board a private boat to Positano to take in spectacular vistas of the famed Amalfi coastline from the sea. While in Positano, enjoy a visit to this fascinating small village. After lunch, embark on a scenic drive along the coastline back to Amalfi, where you will enjoy a walking tour around the town, including seeing the lovely mosaic facade of St. Andrew’s Cathedral. Enjoy some time at your leisure to explore the beautiful township on your own before returning to your ship.
Portoferraio, the charming capital of the island of Elba. Enjoy a drive of this charming island, teeming with rocky beaches and magnificent views over the Bays of Lacona, Laconella and Golfo Stella. Visit Napoléon's House, which was the seat of exile for France's Napoléon Bonaparte I. Continue to the charming village of Porto Azzurro, where you will enjoy some free time to explore the ancient medieval fortress and picturesque harbour. Stop at an old country wine farm overlooking the ocean, where you will delight in a wine tasting accompanied by local Tuscan produce, including salami, cheese and traditional cantuccini (almond biscuits).
