Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Brussels
Arrive in Brussels and settle into your hotel. Later, meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers and enjoy a welcome dinner, marking the beginning of your European journey.

Day 2 Brussels
Enjoy an orientation tour of Brussels, taking in highlights such as the Atomium, Manneken Pis and the magnificent Grand Place. The remainder of the day is free to explore at your own pace, from royal parks to chocolate boutiques.

Day 3 Ghent and Bruges
Travel to the medieval city of Ghent to admire its historic towers and riverfront setting, before continuing to Bruges, one of Europe’s most perfectly preserved old towns.

Day 4 Bruges
Discover Bruges on a guided walking tour and enjoy a scenic canal cruise past Gothic façades. The afternoon is at leisure before gathering for a memorable evening meal.

Day 5 Dinant and Luxembourg
Journey toward Luxembourg with a stop in Dinant, birthplace of Adolphe Sax. Visit the historic Orval Abbey before arriving in Luxembourg for dinner at your hotel.

Day 6 Luxembourg City
Join a guided walking tour of Luxembourg City, passing the Grand Ducal Palace and Cathedral and enjoying panoramic views across dramatic river gorges. The rest of the day is free or available for optional excursions.

Day 7 Bastogne, Maastricht and Amsterdam
Travel via Bastogne, rich in World War II history, and continue to Maastricht before arriving in Amsterdam. Enjoy a scenic cruise along the city’s iconic canals.

Day 8 Amsterdam
Explore Amsterdam’s historic centre, including a guided visit to the Rijksmuseum. Seasonal departures may also include a visit to the colourful Keukenhof Gardens.

Day 9 Delft and Rotterdam
Visit Delft and its famous blue pottery, continue to Rotterdam for an orientation tour, then return to Amsterdam for a special farewell dinner experience.

Day 10 Amsterdam
After breakfast, your land tour concludes as you prepare to embark on the next chapter of your journey.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 1: Amsterdam

Arrive in Amsterdam and board your Avalon Suite Ship®. Spend time exploring the city’s famous canals and historic streets, with optional seasonal visits to Keukenhof Gardens or traditional Dutch windmills. Overnight docking in Amsterdam.

Day 2: Amsterdam

Discover Amsterdam with a choice of guided experiences, including a walking tour through historic neighbourhoods or a scenic canal cruise past elegant Golden Age architecture. Later, enjoy free time before cruising overnight toward Germany.

Day 3: Cologne, Germany

Arrive in Cologne and choose from guided city walks highlighting the iconic Gothic cathedral, Jewish heritage sites, or an active bike ride along the Rhine. Enjoy free time to sample local Kölsch beer before sailing onward.

Day 4: Rhine Gorge – Rüdesheim – Koblenz

Cruise through the UNESCO-listed Rhine Gorge, passing dramatic cliffs, medieval castles and the legendary Rock of the Lorelei. Visit Rüdesheim for vineyard walks or a cultural museum experience, then continue cruising to Koblenz where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet.

Day 5: Cochem

Sail into the scenic Moselle Valley, arriving in the charming town of Cochem. Explore half-timbered streets, visit the hilltop Reichsburg Castle, or enjoy local culinary experiences before cruising onward.

Day 6: Bernkastel

Discover Bernkastel, a storybook wine village known for its medieval marketplace and timber-framed houses. Choose from guided walks, vineyard hikes or wine tastings showcasing the Moselle’s famous Riesling traditions. Cruise overnight toward Luxembourg.

Day 7: Remich

Arrive in Remich and enjoy a guided excursion to Luxembourg City, where ancient fortifications, dramatic river gorges and modern architecture blend seamlessly. Overnight docking in Remich.

Day 8: Remich 

Disembark after breakfast, concluding your Rhine & Moselle river cruise.
